The Angry Cow's Hayama Akito Shrine!

This is a shrine to one of my favorite Anime boys ever, Hayama Akito (and the show he's associated with). He appears regularly in the anime and manga series Kodomo no Omocha (Child's Toy). If you got here somehow without knowing what Kodomo no Omocha is, you should leave, via this link, and go find out! To sum it up briefly-- Kodomo no Omocha, or Kodocha for short, is a hyperactive, ridiculous shoujo show starring Sana-chan, an 11-year-old child-actress who's had WAY too much caffeine. Everyone in this entire show is, in fact, completely insane. But that's just one of this show's many charms!

ABOUT THIS SHRINE:
It's not really a SHRINE so much as a very heavily themed gallery, but I figure, what better way to worship Hayama (or Sana) than plastering pics of him (or her) everywhere?

SHRINE NEWS (UPDATES):
02/16/01: The update now? I've decided to never update again (except the Burning Questions section). What's the point? People just take all my pictures for their own KNO shrines. When I made this page in early 1998 nobody knew about this show. Nowadays it's very popular and therefore a lot of people who don't have any original ideas and still want to make a webpage are making pages for it. (This phenomenon is especially strong with very popular shows like SM, FY, GW, and DBZ, but I digress.) I still love KNO, of course, but I think the time for me to run this page is over. Lots of other people are making galleries so this page is no longer unique, and I have no intention of doing all this work just to keep up a page that isn't anything special. This was my first webpage so I'm leaving it up for nostalgic reasons. Also, the "Burning Questions" and Dawson's Creek sections are unique content for the page and people seem to find them amusing, so why not leave it up. I am still taking submissions for those pages but everything else is hereby declared unchanging. I appreciate all the nice e-mail I've gotten over the years. My only wish for the web is that anyone who wants to make a webpage: make sure it's got something on it that isn't on anyone else's page. Original content is important. It also keeps your page from being one of the many trash pages cluttering the net that just steal other people's images or other content. Why not make a useful page about something that nobody else has really done a good page about yet? Good luck & good night.

WHERE CAN I OBTAIN THIS SHOW/COMIC?
I know you're asking this because you want to watch Hayama in action. And the answer is: Kodomo no Omocha is a series that ran in Japan from 1996 to 1998, with 1 OVA and a 104 episode TV run. Someone fansubbed the OVA too. I think it was Tomodachi Anime. Kodocha Anime is currently fansubbing the TV series. Go there! They rule. So far they've done 32 episodes of it. GeoFront is subbing it too, but IMHO, their job, while decent, is not at good as the Kodocha Anime version. There are 10 manga and one extra "side story" manga called Mizu no Yakata (this is not about the KNO characters; it's the story of the movie Sana and Naozumi made). The manga is by Miho Obana, was published by Ribon Mascot Comics, and ran originally in Ribon magazine.

LINK NOTICE
Please keep in mind that I did a TON of work locating many of these pictures or modifying them to look decent, and please include a link either here or to The Angry Cow's Anime Page in general. It's rude not to. I really did a lot of work for this and it's not so much to ask that you link here (https://members.tripod.com/kriswolfe).
Plus, I have adorable Hayama-themed small banners to use! What could be better? So link link link! But please don't just steal things.
